I’ve had the privilege to “teach” the course Applied Data Science (ADS) as a guest lecturer at Tehran Institute for Advanced Studies (TEIAS), in the fall semester of 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 (to come).

The course is focused on the applied side of the data science, so we barely go over the theoretical parts and try to get familiar with how to implement the fundamental algorithms in Python and through Google Colab.

The material and syllabus is by no means an exhaustive list of the topics one encounters in using data science in practice, but it hopefully provides a good base to expand upon for the students who want to use them in their projects/career.

The course material includes lectures slides, lab session notebooks (in Python) and video recordings of the lectures and lab sessions:

(I’ve posted the videos for the 2021 semester because the classes were online due to Covid-19 pandemic so as a result all sessions were recorded)
